COMMERCIAL DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief description  

CDL licensed truck driver will be responsible for running residential, commercial, and roll-off routes according to business needs and making great customer service a top priority.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre and post-safety and performance checks on the truck

• Lead a team of up to two sanitation helpers

• Make sound decisions regarding route maintenance and customer service

• Complete route assignments timely and efficiently 

• Keep dispatcher abreast of route status through radio communication 

• Complete daily paperwork accurately and review it with the dispatcher when the route is complete

Requirements

• Must have a valid class A or B CDL license

• Must meet all DOT driver requirements, including having a current medical card

• Must have a clean driving record

• Must be able to pass a drug screen

• Must have a good work history

• Must physically be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs

• Must have the physical ability to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly

• Must be able to work Saturdays

• Must have the adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations such as weather, traffic, equipment malfunction, etc.                       

• Must have a team player mentality and be willing to help when and where needed

• Must have good communication skills 

• Must speak, read, and write fluent English – Bilingual is a plus!
