A Sanitation Driver's Story

Waste management is more than a job. It is serving our community's needs.

Celebrating my one-year anniversary as a CDL waste management driver fills me with pride, reflecting on a year dedicated to serving my community in a crucial role. As I navigate the streets behind the wheel of a waste management truck, I am not merely transporting refuse; I am contributing to the well-being of the neighborhoods I traverse.

The daily routine involves more than collecting garbage—it's about maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our community. The responsibility of ensuring waste removal is not just a job; it's a commitment to environmental stewardship and public health.

Being a CDL waste management driver at Decker Dispose-All & Recycling means being a silent hero, working diligently before dawn to ensure the streets are pristine for the day ahead. It's about understanding the importance of timely and efficient waste disposal to prevent environmental hazards.

In this role, I've become intimately acquainted with the pulse of my community—the early risers, the local businesses, and the school zones. There's a sense of camaraderie with the residents, a nod of appreciation from shopkeepers, and the knowledge that my efforts directly contribute to a healthier and happier community.

As I celebrate this milestone, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my community in this often-overlooked role. Every garbage bag collected is a testament to the dedication of waste management drivers who play a vital role in maintaining the quality of life we all cherish.
